Leticia Luna (Mexico City, 1965) is one of the most representative contemporary female poetic voices emerging from Mexico City. She has published Hora lunar

(1999), Desde el oasis (1999) and El amante y la espiga (2003). Luna is coauthor of Antología Mujeres Poetas en el país de las Nubes (2000), and she prepared the trilogy Trilogía Poética de las Mujeres en Hispanoamérica (pícaras, místicas y rebeldes) (2004). In addition, Luna’s poetry has been compiled in the following anthologies Antología 76 poetas en Generación (2001), En el rigor del vaso que la aclara el vaso toma forma. Homenaje de poetas jóvenes a Gorostiza (2002), Camina el verso senderos de silencio. Jennifer Rathbun has a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona and is currently an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Ashland University. She is a translator and specialist of the US-Mexico border literature. Pecan Grove Press published her translation of Río vertebral/ Vertebral River– a poetry book by Juan Armando Rojas Joo in 2009. Rathbun also translated Rojas Joo’s poetry book Ceremonial de viento/ Ceremonial of Wind (Mexico City, La Cuadrilla de la Langosta, 2006) and is coeditor of the anthology of poetry Canto a una ciudad en el desierto (Mexico City, La Cuadrilla de la Langosta, 2004). This anthology includes the voices of over ninety international authors that have poetically denounced the violence against women in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. In addition, her poetry, translations and articles on Contemporary Latin American Literature appear in numerous international reviews and journals.
