Rachel Eliza Griffiths is a poet, writer, painter, and photographer.  She is a Cave Canem Fellow and received the MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.  Her poetry, fiction, and art has appeared in Callaloo, Indiana Review, Crab Orchard Review, Comstock Review, Puerto Del Sol, Ecotone, Brilliant Quarters, Black Quarterly Review, Torch, Saranac Review, PMS: poem memoir story, Harpate Palate, Mosaic, and many others. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, Vermont Studio Center, Napa Valley Writers Conference, Soul Mountain Retreat, and was a 2007 Pushcart Nominee. She teaches creative writing at Bloomfield College and lives in New York.
